Catherine - Senior Issue Analyst
I joined TSYS in November 2002. My initial role was as a Level 1 Client Support Analyst working on the helpdesk acting as first point of contact and support for clients. I had previously worked for a company for 10 years so was extremely nervous about the move. However, the friendly atmosphere and staff at TSYS soon put me at ease and I knew I had made the right decision.
In March 2003, after successful application, I was promoted to a new position of Issue Analyst, Level 2 – Interfaces Module working within the Client Business Services department. Interfaces is looking after the transmission of customer data files from TSYS to our clients and vendors, and was something I had not directly worked with before, so it was a steep learning curve. However, I had continued support from my colleagues and soon settled into the new role.
In October 2004, I applied for a promotion to a Level 3 Issue Analyst – Terms, again, this is a new module dealing with the Terms set on customer accounts. I was successful in this application and was promoted in November 2004. I am currently training in this new position.
My career progression is evidence that you can achieve and progress within the company. I have progressed 2 levels with 2 years of employment. The environment within the department is extremely friendly, even though the job itself can be very demanding. The teams have good working relationships and you can rely on your colleagues for support.
The company within Europe is growing very rapidly and, in turn, the number of employees is increasing. The growth of the company provides a positive outlook as there will be new opportunities and new clients and relationships to build. Back to top
