Helen - Issue Analyst
I joined TSYS as Personal Administrator for the Client Services Director and worked closely with the client services team for my first 12 months in TSYS. TSYS had just moved to the UK and my role was diverse, not the usual PA role, as in the beginning it was a case of "all hands to the decks", so I found myself also supporting the client services teams as and when I was needed whilst I provided all the usual PA support. I managed the Directors' diary, ensuring all travel arrangements were made for the teams and any courses required were booked etc... But I was actively encouraged by my director to get involved with the teams for my own self development. It was because of this exposure I decided that I wanted to move into the client services – Process Improvements team. I suppose it was my attitude that helped me get the role – as I managed to support both my Director and the Process Improvements team in the initial start-up of TSYS Europe, it required 110% effort, but the effort was recognized and I was promoted to the team as a Level 1 Process Improvements Analyst.
I had 2 fun years in the Process improvements team, developing relationships both internal to TSYS and with our clients. My role was to provide analysis on the client's issues against their agreed Service Level Agreements and handle any queries that did not go to the account management teams. The job was demanding due to the deadlines for daily, weekly and monthly client reports, and the workload fluctuated, but I enjoyed rising to the challenges and meeting the clients expectations. 12 months later I became a Level 2 Process Improvements analyst.
The opportunity presented itself for me to develop my TSYS knowledge in regards to the TS2 system. 11 months later, I side-stepped into the Client Services Issues team 3 as an Issue Analyst Level 2. Here I currently reside working all client issues for the Customer Service, Correspondence, ProphIT and MQ modules. The role is the flip side to my previous position and in a way that helps me in the way I perform in my current day-to-day role. I try to make sure I don't miss any information that I know I needed as a process improvement analyst!! I hope I manage this most of the time.
I have been with TSYS for 4 years on March 19th (always remember the date as I started on my birthday!!). I find that the people in TSYS are very friendly and we have a great family rapport! We work hard for each other and everyone pulls their weight. We have good benefits by way of a Private Health Plan, Pension, Free Financial Advice and Share Savings scheme. Oh, and the salary's good too!! Although we're not paid enough!!!!!??!! (Isn't that the same for everyone?)
I am currently awaiting an opportunity to progress in my current area to a Level 3 Issue Analyst and have no plans to leave TSYS employment. Back to top
