Unique and challenging...
I joined TSYS in 2007 after 11 years working in a predominantly acquiring and debit services organisation. I was looking to join a global organisation where I could continue to stretch my knowledge and experience across the payments sector. Working for TSYS, I have certainly achieved those goals.
TSYS provides training and opportunity which allows it's people to grow and in turn be individually successful. For me this has certainly been the case. The team and I have gone from providing predominantly credit card services across ROI and the UK to payment services across continental Europe, Asia and Africa, all from the TSYS International Data Centre in North Yorkshire.
Everyday is unique and challenging and the people here at TSYS are some of the most dynamic people I have worked with. The tenacity and resolve of the global team still amazes me today, even after 3 years as we pull together to meet the everyday challenges. A typical day can see the operations team engaged with colleagues in Japan, India, Cyprus, Russia, Netherlands, UK, Brazil and the US in the support of our International client base who expect and demand the highest quality of service from TSYS.

Best decision...
Prior to joining TSYS, I had worked as a Project Manager in the Finance, Telecoms and Insurance industries as well as on a major government programme of work.
In 2005 a line manager who I had previously worked for contacted me to advise that there was a Project Management vacancy in TSYS. I was successful in my application and the decision that I then had to make was whether or not I wanted to relocate my young family to North Yorkshire - I can definitely say that it is the best decision I ever made.
In 2007 I was promoted to Senior Project Manager and in 2011 I received the President's Circle Award. As a TSYS Project Manager I have worked with both teams and clients across multiple time zones whether working on a client or an internal initiative. For part of the delivery on projects I have been working on I have travelled to the US, Canada, France and Trinidad and Tobago.

Challenging environment...
After graduating from university with a Management Degree I worked for a global insurance company as a claims advisor. Following that I worked for a financial company in Leeds in the store cards business for 3 years. The role was heavily sales based but had limited career progression which prompted me to apply for a role at TSYS.
I joined TSYS in 2003 as a Helpdesk Analyst. After just over 12 months I was promoted to an Issues Analyst position and then again to a Senior Analyst role 18 months later. For the last 3 years I have worked as a Team Leader in the Client Services Support team managing various teams and working with different international clients. It's been a steep learning curve and every day is different which makes the job interesting. I have seen the company grow significantly since the early days when I first joined and I am pleased to be working in a supporting and challenging environment for a company that is still growing.

Lots of opportunities...
Prior to working at TSYS International I worked for a large financial company based in Leeds, for 7 years. I started in customer service roles and progressed through to the position of fraud officer working on consumer store cards, credit cards and commercial charge cards. The commercial card business was a TSYS International client so I also had first hand experience in using the TS2 platform.
I joined TSYS in July 2009 as a level 2 Issues Analyst. This role included client issue resolution, dealing with client option changes and arranging recovery of incorrect data. I worked predominantly in the following modular areas: Customer Service, Direct Debits, Credit Bureau, Collections and Products & Features.
There are lots of opportunities for growth at TSYS International - in November 2010 I was successful in my application for a Senior Level 3 Client Services Analyst, secondment position and have now been promoted into a permanent position.

Great team spirit...
After ten years within the IT Recruitment Industry I changed career to join TSYS as a Team Leader within the Production Support division which is responsible for incident and problem management. This was a challenging role which involved the workload allocation and the line management of team of CSAs (Client Service Analyst). Although it was a steep learning curve, it was the perfect introduction to TSYS, the Card Payments Industry and provided invaluable insight to TSYS processes. After a year in the role, I changed jobs in order to lead a team of Business Analysts in the Distributed Platforms division. This position involved defining and improving processes, balancing the workload across the team and working with project managers ensure the delivery of timely, high quality documentation.
TSYS can offer employees the chance to progress and I moved to an Account Management position in October 2010. This provided me the opportunity to use my client facing experience in addition to my French language skills as I am now responsible for managing the TSYS relationship with a French financial services organisation.
During the past 2.5 years at TSYS I have completed my ITIL Foundation training, French Business Language training and I have also been involved in a mentor programme. As TSYS supports a number of charities, I have also enjoyed the great team spirit when participating in the TSYS team for the Race for Life and attending the Children in Need and charity ball events.
